I nominate the staff of SkyRidge Medical Center as the Saints of the week!!! I was recently a patient there, as was a family member of mine. We both received excellent care and had nurses that went "above and beyond." I especially want to praise Cheri & Janet in the ER at Main; Nancy, Connie and the ER staff at Westside: Carmen, Zach, Scott and Amy in ICU; Sheila, Mitzi & the 4 North staff. What a group of outstanding professionals! Thank goodness we have this great medical care in Cleveland!!
I want to nominate the man that works at the tax place on Keith Street, as Saint of the Week. I was in there last Monday and he was very nice to help me get information about the stimulus payment for some of my relatives. He explained everything and was very helpful. He was friendly and and made me feel comfortable while explaining everything. Thanks again.

I would like to nominate a certain church as the creep of the week for not finishing a demolition project within the past three years. I have to look at that pile of rubble everyday on my commute and I think it's a shame that you cannot finish your destruction of that nostalgic old church. You took an area that was kept mowed and clean and turned it into an area that more resembles a dump than "church" property. I feel sorry for those living in the area that have to look at that several times a day. Come on and get off the pew for a few and clean up your dump. I believe the ultimate creep of the week is teacher who praised a female student and then said "but we need to work on your weight." Who does she think she is? Our young girls face enough pressure to conform from the media. The last person a student needs that kind of criticism from is a teacher.
I think the creeps of the week should be the ladies in a local office who obviously hate their jobs. What I don't understand is if they are so miserable with where they are why not go elsewhere? I'm sure that a lot of people would be happy with that! Considering you immaturity and poor social skills, maybe you should try doing your job instead of taking your anger out on others. Go take a chill pill. I think the creep of the week should be business who makes a practice of taking up money for people when a loved one passes away, yet one of your best customers recently lost two family members. She found out who her friends are. You are real creeps. This lady's heart was really hurt. If you do for one you should do for all. That makes y'all number one creeps.
I have to say the creep of the week is the person that complains about dogs in the neighborhood that keeps barking. That is like telling a newborn baby not to cry. Plus God didn't put dogs on the earth for them to lay around all day. At least the dogs have a fenced-in yard to run around in instead of running all over the neighborhood. They also have food to eat and water to drink. At least we know when someone is in the yard that we DON'T know.
The creeps of the week would be my neighbor who hooked my husband up with someone that sells illegal prescription drugs knowing my husband has addiction problems. Then my husband for lying to me about it and insulting my intelligence and then acting like I shouldn't be mad.
How does a dad just walk off and not take care of his child with no conscious? The father of my son walked off when our child was 3 years old. He signed over his rights because he did not want to pay child support. Now, my son just turned 18 years old. He has been working ever since he was 12 years old. He is ambitious and determined to make it on his own. The sad thing is - is that his father is living in a house in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in this town. Today my son called his father and asked him if he had an apartment that he could rent to him. His father told him that he was not going to rent him anything because he owed him $40 dollars. I have never wished anyone bad luck, but this is one time that I wish he would lose absolutely everything he has and know what it is like to have nothing.
The cabin rental place in North Georgia who charged us a damage deposit of $250 and the only thing we were guilty of was leaving towels and blankets in the washer. They accused us of lock tampering, late check out, rug stains on a supposedly pet-friendly cabin. Needless to say we are telling everyone about this shady place and disputing the charges. We will never rent from them again.
The creeps of the week are the people who use the "emergency only parking" spaces that are located at the old Walmart. These spots are intended for police vehicles or ambulances - they are not intended for city employees who have emergency tags on their private vehicles. Recently while at Walmart I passed one of these spots and a woman and her toddler son in a dark car with an emergency tag was parked there. Another time a man in a large truck. I followed him and he was shopping. Maybe the public is not aware that police officers, firefighers, dispatchers, paramedics, rescue and even Civil Air Patrol members can get emergency tags for all their private owned vehicles. Even their spouses cars have these tags on them. I certainly appreciate their service to our community, but they are no better than me and should have to park just like the rest of us in other available spots. People who abuse the system like this are truly creeps!!
The creep who suggested that Northerners hate dogs and Southerners love them like children! Not according to my experience! Due to climate and space restrictions, Northern dogs tend to be smaller and are kept indoors longer, where they receive constant love and attention. Contrast this to a variety of neighbors' dogs in Cleveland over the last 28 years. Dogs are more likely to be kept outside day and night in a yard, caged or tied to a tree. Nobody visits or plays with them and they end up barking continuously out of loneliness. The owners seem to be away an awful lot, leaving only the neighbors to listen to the dreadful noise. I have seen dogs running at full speed only to be choked when their rope ran out...and then do it again and again. I go into my own yard and the neighbor dogs bark at me in a threatening manner. I can't peacefully listen to music in my own house. And there's always the stench from next door. As for dogs that only bark during the day...Cleveland has a sizable population of night workers who need their sleep.
