Sound off On: Year-Round School

The 2007-08 school year has come to a close and children all over Bradley County have two and a half months to, well, play video games, hang out at the mall, go to babysitters, swim, play and hop from VBS to VBS at their parents' convenience.

Tennessee Crush Moves To Cleveland

Many of you out there may not have heard of the United South Football League. However, this minor league program holds games all over the Tennessee-Georgia area. In fact, the new owner for the Tennessee Crush moved his team right here in Cleveland. Recently renamed from its prior name, the Pioneers, the Crush were the 2007 North Division Champions. Games are played at Cleveland High School and are coached by Damon Smith (head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterback coach), Shay Strickland (defensive coordinator) and Carlon Washington (defensive line coach and Cleveland area scouting director)

Zoro: Christian Rocker Rocks Cleveland

Zoro is called "The Minister of Groove" all over the world because of his ability to rock any drum set and his way with words that inspire and motivate people. His reputation, prestigious awards and talents have provided him opportunities to tour with Earth Wind and Fire, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Lenny Kravitz, Bobby Brown and many more. After he gave his heart to the Lord, clean living and hard work opened doors that allowed him to use his instrument to minister to people.

The Cleveland-Athens Cotillion is pleased to announce the 2008 Debutantes of the season! There are four lovely young ladies from Cleveland and one from Charlotte, North Carolina this year. The debutantes are Miss Sarah Grace Corbin, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. John Corbin of Charlotte, NC; Miss Bailey Elise David, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan David of Cleveland; Miss Emily Grant Feehrer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Feehrer of Cleveland; Miss Frances Allie O'Connell, daughter of Ms. Tracy Miles O'Connell of Cleveland; and Miss Stephanie Deneen Preston, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fetter of Cleveland.
